DBS Group’s International Recruitment Process Explained
Due to Russia's shortage of skilled workers, companies are looking outside the country to find the talent they require in a timely and reliable manner. The DBS Group provides a straightforward, simple, connected approach that allows employers in Russia to find qualified workers from high-skill areas such as Southeast Asia and India effectively and efficiently.
Understanding Client Workforce Requirements
Assessing each Russian client's workforce needs is the first step of our process. This makes it more likely that the candidates will be a perfect fit when they arrive on the first day.
Job Role Analysis
Analysing job roles is the second step in our process. We compile an in-depth analysis of each job role, which includes all daily tasks, types of equipment used, and performance objectives, with our clients to develop a comprehensive profile of each job. For example, in the building industry, we look at all the specifics involved in each project, including welding processes and basic safety requirements, in order to accurately create job descriptions.
During the initial meeting with Russian clients, we will clarify the timelines and challenges associated with the projects. Performing an analysis of the job roles prior to sending workers to their destination will help us prevent the possibility of delays in operations caused by mismatched workers. By setting guidelines and expectations prior to sending workers to their location, we are able to deliver workers who meet the specific job definition provided by our clients.
Skill and Experience Mapping
Next is determining the education, experience, and skills needed for the job. All of the necessary technical talents, as well as the essential soft skills for success, have been included in the skills chart developed by the DBS Group. For example, a manufacturing client may require 5 years of CNC machining experience and must also be able to speak some basic Russian.
Once the mapping is completed, the client will approve of it prior to any sourcing taking place. This process allows for the proper global talent to fill a needed position while also meeting all of the Russian industry's hiring standards, thus increasing productivity. Because of this, to date, 93% of the personnel placed have remained employed throughout their first year, resulting in thousands of successful placements.
Candidate Sourcing and Screening
Once the mapping of the required skills needs is complete, DBS Group moves to finding and vetting candidates. We utilise a combination of direct sourcing and working hands-on with our candidates to ensure that they are the best fit for the client's particular needs.
Global Talent Sourcing
DBS Group utilizes countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India to source highly qualified candidates in engineering, manufacturing, service sectors, and trade work. We have thousands of profiles of pre-screened candidates in our database that have gone through a vocational program.
In an emergency need for a qualified candidate, we can shortlist hundreds of candidates within a few days. During this time, the Russian client can participate in a virtual meeting with the top candidates identified. Through the use of this worldwide network, we are successfully filling the gaps identified in Russia's manufacturing and construction industries.
Trade Testing and Interviews
Trade tests are administered to candidates being tested in real-life conditions at dedicated assessment centres, for example, welding simulations, machinery operation. DBS Group allows clients to view the testing either by attending in person or via a live video stream for transparency.
Formal follow-up interviews are conducted in relation to technical knowledge and cultural fit. Only candidates passing both the technical test and the follow-up interview will be presented with their results, all of which are sent immediately after tests have been completed and visa approvals.
This rigorous assessment process ensures that candidates attending the workplace will be capable of starting work immediately at the time they start work.
Documentation, Mobilisation, and Onboarding
DBS Group will support all documentation and transition workers to Russia in a smooth manner. This phase will facilitate the legal placement of candidates in the workplace in Russia and the effective integration of those candidates into the Russian workplace.
Visa and Compliance Handling
DBS Group takes responsibility for managing the complete visa process, including obtaining a work permit, medical examinations, and work contracts from beginning to end. DBS Group will provide job descriptions and other appropriate evidence to the Russian Government in order to demonstrate full compliance with Russian labour law regarding payment, taxation, and insurance coverage for the workers being placed in the Russian workplace.
At the time of processing a group of 100 engineers, processing will be completed within a few weeks from the date of receipt of the application for work. As a result of the professional expertise of DBS Group, clients are able to process and place workers without having to worry about incurring fines from the Russian authorities. In addition, upon receipt of documentation required for work placement, every document will be subject to double-checking for verification against the application.
Arrival and Workforce Integration
Prior to leaving for Russia, employees receive training in appropriate workplace behaviours and culture in Russia, and are met at the airport by their orientation providers for reception and orientation.
Upon arrival, the providers will also hold an ongoing check-in with the employees and conduct team-building exercises to provide continued integration support. The employee's successful integration allows them to function as a high performer while quickly mingling into existing Russian teams.
